Multi-Component System is the feature to tie assets together, like various parts of an HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography) that are serviced separately.
To assign an asset as part of the system
go to ASSETS > ASSET MANAGER
Click the blue SN of the asset to pull up its information, click “Edit”, click the checkbox that it is part of a multi-component system, click “OK.”
In order to disable the multicomponent system part you need to open the asset, click edit, and uncheck the box "Asset can contain other assets". Save changes.
