Status Triggers Overview
Status triggers automatically update your asset statuses based on specific events. Set up triggers once and let the system manage status changes throughout your workflow.
Add a Status Trigger
- Navigate to Administration > Configuration > Status Triggers
- Select the trigger Type from the dropdown
- Click Add Status Trigger
- Configure the Source and Target statuses
- Click Save
Available Trigger Types
The system supports these automatic status changes:
- Asset added to the work order
- Asset failed as found
- Asset failed as left
- Asset passed as left
- Asset was withdrawn from the work order
- Asset component failed as found
- Asset component failed as left
- Asset removed from the work order
Managing Triggers
- Each trigger defines a Source and Target status
- Multiple triggers can exist for different workflows
- Triggers execute automatically when conditions are met
- System logs all automated status changes if change management policy for asset is enabled
Notes
- Only assets with an Active status will generate alerts and notifications for service schedules
- When an asset fails a service event, Qualer can automatically update the asset or parent asset status to Failed
- Change management policies can be applied to Asset Status to ensure changes are tracked and approved/rejected
