*This is a "Feature Updates" article. If you need to get actual instructions, please go to the "Start New Work Order from Previous Work Order" article.

Users will be able to create a new work order based on a previously created work order. A new "Copy Work Order" menu item will be added to the Work Order manager and "Copy Service Request" menu item to the Service Request manager. This link becomes available when one (and only one) work order is selected in the grid. When pressed, a new Draft order is created with the following items copied from the selected work order:

  1. Order items/assets
  2. Maintenance plan/task assignments
  3. Order tasks
  4. Service level and option selection
  5. Pricing is applied according to current price lists (not copied)
  6. Order charges
  7. Special instructions/client notes

To begin copying a work order, click into the 'Work Orders' screen by hovering over 'Service' from the main menu bar and clicking 'Work Orders'.

Select the work order you would like to copy by clicking the check mark then clicking 'Copy Work Order'.

Another way to copy a past order is by going to the previous order (in any stage) and clicking the two paper icon to copy.

Confirm you would like to copy the work order by clicking 'OK'.

Next, a work order draft is created with the copied items. Click 'Submit Now' to create the copied work order. The work order should then be created with all of the copied items (Order items/assets, Maintenance plan/task assignments, Order tasks, Service level and option selection, Order charges, Special instructions/client notes).
